Claude O'Reilly convention scrapbook, 1941 Sept.-Oct.

The collection consists of the contents of a scrapbook regarding the sixty-first American Federation of Labor annual convention in Seattle. The collection contains: a xerographic copy of the cover of the scrapbook, twenty black and white photographs, convention memorabilia, pages from the American Federationist magazine (October, November issues), and newspaper clippings from the Seattle Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and the Seattle Star (September 25-October 18). The photographs show scenes of convention proceedings, delegates touring the Government Locks in Seattle (October 8), a dinner honoring the A.F.L. Executive Council at the Olympic Hotel (October 6), and a Conference of Teamsters banquet (October 3). Convention memorabilia includes: the official program, convention and reception committee ribbons, three different meal invitations (two dinners and a luncheon), a coupon booklet for convention activities , a special sightseeing ticket, a sheet of letterhead, and a roll call of delegates (16 pages).
